Amar Shergill receiving Community Leader of the Year Award from the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California
Amar Shergill was the founding president of the South Asian Bar Association of Sacramento, an organization that promotes the professional advancement of attorneys and law students of South Asian descent and helps serve the legal needs of the South Asian community in the greater Sacramento region. In 2011, he received the SABA of Northern California Foundation Community Leader award and in 2012, he was awarded the National Association of SABAs Cornerstone Award. Amar also received the 2015 Community Service Award from the South Asian Bar Association of Sacramento, awarded at the Unity Bar Dinner.
